The Urology Center of Colorado to be Featured on Cable and Public Television Networks Throughout September

WHAT:       In order to further educate the general public on the treatment options available for prostate cancer, The Urology Center of Colorado (TUCC) will be featured in a National Medical Report broadcast series throughout the month of September. The TUCC segments will air on CNBC, FamilyNet, Voice of America and public television stations nationwide.

WHEN:     The TUCC segments will air on CNBC (Comcast channel 46) FamilyNet, Voice of America and other public television stations throughout September beginning September 17.

WHO:     
   TUCC physicians and patients.

WHY:         The TUCC segments are scheduled to air in conjunction with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, held every September. According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among American men with approximately 218,000 men expected to be diagnosed in 2007. In Colorado, approximately 3,160 cases of the disease will be diagnosed this year. However, thanks to early detection and advancements in treatment therapies, mortality rates for prostate cancer are declining. The TUCC National Medical Report segments feature the most advanced treatments for prostate cancer available in Denver.
