
Richard Augspurger, M.D., F.A.C.S.
TUCC medical director, Richard Augspurger, M.D., specializes in treating pediatric urology, specifically spina bifida, neurogenic bladder, urinary incontinence, genitourinary cancer, bladder augmentation and continent urinary diversion.
Dr. Augspurger received a B.S. degree in chemistry and biology from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. He then obtained his medical doctorate, cum laude, from Ohio State University. Dr. Augspurger completed a surgical internship and residency training in surgery and urology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he was named chief resident in urology.
Dr. Augspurger has remained active in the Denver physician community for many years. He has served as a member of many professional boards and is the president and founder of the Urologic Network of Colorado and the founder of Colorado Physicians Credentialing Services.
As a clinical faculty member of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC), Dr. Augspurger has been elected to the "Order of the Golden Nephros" three times. This annual award recognizes outstanding clinical urology professors at UCHSC.
Prior to joining TUCC, Dr, Augspurger practiced with Western Urologic Associates.
