Craig Sakurada, M.D., F.A.C.S
Craig Sakurada, M.D., received a B.A. degree in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from the University of Colorado. After obtaining his medical doctorate from the University of Colorado, he completed an internship in general surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He also completed his residency in general surgery and urology at Yale, where he went on to serve as chief resident of the urology department.
Following his residency, Dr. Sakurada was named chief of urology services at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and was promoted to Air Force Major. He began practicing at Colorado Urology Associates in 1997 before moving to TUCC.
Dr. Sakurada is currently involved in several national multicenter clinical trials. He is a member of the American Urological Association, Colorado Medical Society, Denver Medical Society and Rocky Mountain Urological Society and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sakurada specializes in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) microwave thermal therapy, voiding dysfunction, prostate cancer, multiple sclerosis and comprehensive urodynamics.
