Richard Augspurger, M.D., F.A.C.S.

TUCC Medical Director, Richard Augspurger, M.D., practiced with Western Urologic Associates prior to the merger that formed TUCC. He has served as a member of many professional boards and is the president and founder of the Urologic Network of Colorado and the founder of Colorado Physicians Credentialing Services. Dr. Augspurger also serves as a member of the TUCC Foundation Advisory Board.

As a clinical faculty member of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC), Dr. Augspurger has been elected to the "Order of the Golden Nephros" three times. This annual award recognizes outstanding clinical urology professors at UCHSC.

Dr. Augspurger received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and biology from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. He then obtained his medical doctorate, cum laude, from Ohio State University. Dr. Augspurger completed a surgical internship and residency training in surgery and urology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he was named Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is an American College of Surgeons fellow.
